I’ve got an odd question that I can’t try for myself. It came out in the never-ending Clinton/Monica scandal that she would suck on Altoids mints before going down on him. Apparently it gives an interesting sensation when giving head. That it works is fact, not rumor. I wonder if the same sensations would be experienced from eating spicy food before performing oral sex. Have any of you experimented with various foods or spices during oral sex? Did your partner like the effect? —Beth

My boyfriend says that all using pop rocks does for him is feel like sand paper. I think it is more a novel idea and pops in your own mouth more than it really does much for him, according to my own bf and several other girls I know who’ve also done used the pop rocks on their bf’s or husbands.
Also, as an aside, if anyone ever comes near my vaginal opening with Vick’s Freaking Vapo-Rub, I’m running the other way. That stuff is NOT supposed to be used near any mucus membranes, such as far up in the nose, the eyes, into the anus or tip of the penis AND in the vagina. There are tons of things that don’t have the lasting and possible stinging/pain effect as Vapo-Rub that will give a similar sensation that I’d advise.

I can honestly say green creme de menthe works very well. A few drops at a time smoothed on the skin, then lick the skin to get it wet and blow cool air over it. You’ll definitely get a reaction.

While I have learned the hard way that soap and water doesn’t take off chili oil (ouch, contact lenses!) my lover and I have found spicy Thai food to be very exciting. We have a favorite restaurant and such a history of great oral sex after going there that it’s pretty hard to keep our minds on dinner!

May I suggest a mouthful of peppermint schnapps as an interesting after-dinner alternative? Quite tasty, and from what I understand, effective too.

I agree with Caitlin. I’ve heard that male/female urinary tract openings can be highly irritated, causing pain and extreme burning. For a pleasant alternative, try giving him head with a mouth full of “pop rocks” – it can be a very stimulating experience and fun for both!

My SO and I have made love after eating Mexican food, but we don’t like our food super hot, so I’m not sure our experience would help you much. We didn’t notice any great difference in oral pleasure. I suspect a bit of pepper that might find its way into the urethra during oral sex would cause sharp discomfort. Dare I say, like a pin prick?
