For The Girls

ForTheGirls.com is currently seeking written contributions from skilled writers.

FLASH FICTION

We are looking for high quality super-short (flash) fiction to feature twice a month. Ideally we want succinct, erotic pieces that successfully get an idea across in a small number of words. Cleverness is encouraged, as is out-and-out dirty hotness. The piece should, of course, be aimed at a female audience and female protagonists are preferred.

Flash fiction stories should be a minimum of 300 and a maximum of 500 words in length.

EROTIC FICTION

We are looking for high quality erotic fiction to feature once a month. Stories can cover any topic, however it must be erotic in nature, relatively explicit, sex positive and be written expressly for female readers. Female protagonists are preferred.

We’re looking for stories that are more than just a sex scene. We want to see stories with interesting scenarios and fascinating characters; stories that explore the issues and emotions surrounding sex. Remember that dialogue and buildup can be just as erotic as the actual sex.

Stories should be a maximum of 2000 words in length.

PAYMENT

US$15 per Flash Fiction piece
US$25 per Erotic Fiction piece

Payment will be made electronically , so you must have an appropriate account the best known online payment system (who I won’t mention here due to their unusual methods of dealing with adult sites). If you cannot be paid this way, we cannot publish your work.

We’re looking for previously unpublished full-length novels(between 55,000 – 90,000 words)and short stories (see details below). All authors—agented or unagented, beginner or veteran writers—are welcome to submit any works that have not been previously published in whole or in part in any media, including self-publishing (Kindle, Create Space, etc.).

While your work can include other genre elements, Crimson Romances must focus first and foremost on a hero and heroine’s emotional journey together towards love.Romances, by nature, must be between consenting adults and have a happily-ever-after or at least happy-for-now ending. We will not look at manuscripts formemoirs or other non-fiction, women’s fiction or chick lit, young adult, mysteries and thrillers, horror, or general fiction.

Got a romance that’s a little offbeat, something other publishers won’t take a chance on? Send it our way! At Crimson, we believe variety is the spice of life — especially a reader’s life. We’re happy to consider a wide variety of plot lines and characters, but we’re always looking for:

  • Smart, savvy, confident heroines with strong goals
  • Heroes of all varieties—alpha, beta, anything in between!
  • New twists on favorite themes

Most importantly, we’re seeking authors withfresh, vibrant, unique voices. We want to know (tell us in the query letter) what makes your book distinctive from every other romance being published.

As an ebook publisher, we want to partner with writers who have a strong online presence and possess a savvy interest in marketing and promoting their work to the digital community.

Bright Desire

Bright Desire is looking for erotic and flash fiction that is positive, female-friendly, innovative and different.

EROTIC FICTION and FLASH FICTION
I am looking for high quality erotic fiction or flash fiction to feature once a month. Stories can cover any topic, however it must be erotic in nature, relatively explicit and sex positive.

I’m looking for stories that are more than just a sex scene. Blow-by-blow accounts of sex are boring. I want to see stories with interesting scenarios and fascinating characters; stories that explore the issues and emotions surrounding sex. Remember that dialogue and buildup can be just as erotic as the actual sex.

When it comes to flash fiction, I want succinct, erotic pieces that successfully get an idea across in a small number of words. Cleverness is encouraged, as are twists and out-and-out dirty hotness. Again, blow-by-blow accounts of sex aren’t encouraged, unless there’s an interesting central theme to justify it.

Erotic Stories should be a maximum of 2000 words in length.
Flash fiction stories should be a minimum of 300 and a maximum of 500 words in length.

Submissions Guidelines
Changeling Press LLC
Submissions@ChangelingPress.com

We publish Paranormal, Dark Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Futuristic, BDSM, and Action/Adventure romantic love stories. All submissions must be targeted for at least one of these genres.

What’s a Love Story? While there should be both highly erotic and romantic elements to the book, relationships and endings should be plot driven. We don’t demand your characters trot off to get married at the end of the book, though we do ask for a HEA (Happy Ever After) or, in the case of serials, a HFN (Happy For Now).

Please keep in mind, we’ve only got one heat level. Over-the-top hot! We can handle anything you send us as long as it meets our guidelines! We do not accept simultaneous submissions. We do accept multiple submissions.

Length: We accept outside submissions from 10 to 28K for single titles. Serials from unsigned authors must be submitted as a completed set.

Royalties: 35% of gross paid monthly — receive your first check within 60 days of publication. Expect to hear back from us about your submission within six to eight weeks.

What to submit: We accept submissions via email ONLY. If you do not have reliable access to the internet to be able to communicate with us electronically, you do not have the ability to promote your work electronically.

Please include:
A short cover letter including your publishing history, if any, a short “blurb” and plot summary of no more than 500 words, including genres and themes you’re targeting for this book, and whether it’s a single title or a series/serial.

Your COMPLETE manuscript, as an rtf (Rich Text File) or txt (Text) file attachment ONLY. Every word processing program has the ability to save as Rich Text or Text, and we can’t afford the possibility of viruses or malicious Macros. We simply won’t open anything that could hurt our computers.

A brief promotional plan, including links to your website, blog, journal, etc., and loops and chat sites where you plan to promote, should we accept your work for publication. Although we have an in-house promo staff, an author’s ability to promote is critical to the success of any book’s sales. You will also be expected to promote your book through active participation in the Changeling Readers’ loop, the Changeling Insider, and our online E-Zine, The Cheeky Changeling, and other regularly-scheduled promotions.

Please Note: “E-Publishing” does not mean No Editing. “Good enough” is never good enough. From editors to proofreaders to artists and marketing staff, our team of dedicated professionals is here for your support.

Circlet Press

www.circlet.com

Circlet Press is an independent publisher dedicated to “celebrating the erotic imagination.” In specific, we are known for existing in the niche we call “erotic science fiction.” (Which means, of course, that we do fantasy, too, but lack a decent catch-all term for our genre.) If you’re just discovering us, we’ve been around since March 1992.

Our Genre & Editorial Preferences

Typically we want short stories between 3000 and 7000 words, with some flexibility about the lengths. Generally we’ve found that below 2500 words there isn’t enough room for an author to get sufficient plot, characterization, and erotic action in to make it a good story, though it has occasionally been done. Over 8500 words and we are often looking at a novel or long novella that someone tried to cram down into short story size. Begin a short story in medias res and use your craft to keep it paced like a story and not like a novel.

As for our genre, people often want to know just what do we mean by “erotic science fiction?” What follows is as detailed a description as we can give.

  1. Erotic Content: Erotica means sex. We reject many manuscripts because they do not have enough sexual content. No level of explicitness is required, but erotic interaction must take place! It need not be described graphically or vulgarly but it must be focal and integral to the characterization, plot, and conflict resolution. Also, the sex must be enjoyable for the characters-positive, celebrating sex and sexuality! No rape, exploitation, mutilation, suicide, or snuff. Most other manuscripts we reject are because they have a negative attitude toward sex and/or they portray not a sexy, enjoyable scene, but a terrible rape/exploitation.
  2. Science fiction / fantasy: We don’t split hairs between sf and f. Our main prerequisite is that the story not take place in the “real world.” Magical realism, alternate realities, other times and planets are all welcomed. (However, please note we do not publish horror! The rule is: no murder, dismemberment, rape, castration, or other gruesome topics.) The best blendings of erotica and sf we have seen accomplish the mix by making the science fictional element inseparable from the erotic one. For example, in a story in which two telepaths fall in love, the telepathy sf aspect could be what gives their erotic relationship fire. Merely transporting your erotic scene to a space station isn’t really enough.

Editorial Biases: We are strong supporters of “alternative” sexualities, including lesbian, gay, transgendered, S/M, leather, other fetishes, and so on, but do not try to “queer up” your story for us if the characters are heterosexual. Though we admit we have a taste for the hot and kinky stuff, work need not be overly kinky to get our attention. We encourage works that are fresh & original, left of center, and so on. We admit to a certain bias away from the sometimes cliched aspects of all genres, including pornography. If it seems like it’s “been done before” we may not have a place for it.

It has published numerous single- and multi-author anthologies in both ebook and print as well as novella-length single titles. All the work is donated, as is all the revenue. Coming Together has garnered much critical acclaim, won many awards, and set the publishing industry standard for “doing good while being bad.”

Its publications are available online at all major bookstores, and its print offerings can be special ordered via any offline bookstore.

In 2014, Coming Together became a 501(c)(3) tax exempt voluntary nonprofit association. Contributions of cash, stories, and items for fundraising auction are now tax deductible in the United States. Donation receipts will be provided upon request.

There you have the one and only Alessia Brio. In addition to serving as Coming Together’s editor, Alessia writes all colors and flavors of erotica, from heterosexual to ménage to same sex, and from twisted to humorous to deeply touching. (Sometimes, usually by accident, it even qualifies as romance.) Her work has earned her critical acclaim in the form of three EPPIEs for Erotica (Fine Flickering Hungers, Coming Together: Against the Odds, and Coming Together: Into the Light), Romantic Times Top Pick (Coming Together: For the Cure), and two Next Generation Indie Book Awards for Erotica (Squeeze Play and Coming Together: With Pride) in addition to a plethora of glowing online reviews.

Ms. Brio lives in the mountains near Pittsburgh, where she masquerades as a soccer mom. The Internet is both her office and her playground, and she can be found online at via publishing label, Purple Prosaic, in addition to Twitter and Facebook.

Sinful Press

Sinful Press is looking to publish erotic novels of over 60k. Advance offered.

We are interested in well-written mainstream romance, dark or paranormal erotica with strong characters and a good plotline. Sex scenes must be believable, explicit and in keeping with the chosen sub-genre.

We do have a preference for female protagonists but could be persuaded to accept male protagonists if the story is strong enough.

While we don’t expect you to have professionally edited your novel, we do expect to see minimal spelling/grammatical mistakes. In other words, we want to see a final draft not a first draft.

We will also consider novellas of 20-60k. At present we are only looking for romance, BDSM, and paranormal erotica. These will be on a royalty only basis, no advance, and while they will have the same amount of care and attention as our novels, they will only be available in ebook format.

More information can be found on our submission page at:
sinfulpress.co.uk/submissions
