I feel strongly that fantasy is just that - a fantasy, and that women have been wrongly forced into being embarrassed and guilty about their fantasies - as if they can't tell the difference between real-life situations and a fantasy. Anti-romance propagandists have tried to pull that crap, sometimes with amazing success. The premise being that Romance fiction will create unreasonable relationship expectations.

I find it upsetting to realize that there are still women who are ready and willing to judge other women's fantasies as right or wrong. It makes my blood boil to realize that there are men who think that because a woman writes a non-consensual fantasy it means that she wants to be raped.

While growing up, I would occasionally find myself having fantasies of rape or forced sexuality, both acting and receiving. These threads have persisted as part of a larger pantheon of fantasies through the years and it is only recently that I have come to an acceptance of them.

In terms of fantasy, the story was well written and I think that may in fact be a higher concern for me as a reader and as a person with a reasonably mature perspective on sex. Almost anything can be made into an appealing fantasy with the right crafting and I'm not about to allow a story to send me into the streets on a mad raping spree.

Stories are vehicles for expression, for sharing, for impulses that are tough to express in other terms sometimes. I think rape fantasies are obviously one of the most difficult to admit to having let alone sharing -they require a certain amount of maturity and honesty from the reader too.

I just read the story, I loved it, It was tastefully written. Kudos to Scarlet on the writing, only a few small typos in the whole thing.

As far as the "discussion" goes.... I was raped myself in real-life, the story called "The Office Slut" does not fit the genre of a rape story to me. Reason being, the older woman of the story was wanting to "put a show on for him, instead of being embarrassed" as well as wanting to have him screw her, she may not have intended it to be anal, but the younger man was playing it safe there since he had no protection to keep a woman from getting pregnant. If it had been a "rape" then she would not have wanted his association or acts at all at any given point in the story.

And please, I say to all ... this is just a story, nothing to get so over worked & uptight about. I feel that some of the replies I've read on here are very unfair to the purely fantasy based ideals of the writing. One can not compare fantasy to reality. It ends up demeaning both.

We all have fantasies, no matter if we let them be known or if we hold them deep inside & hide them away from the rest of the world. I say no one should be condemned for what they like to fantasize about. When society starts to restrict what we are allowed to fantasize about I would rather be shot than live.

And also another footnote here for Pr, [see 'From Pr' entry below] you need to grow up & grow a shell hon. Just cause one fantasizes of rape (which I have a healthy sexual life & desires, I also have a rape fantasy or two) does not mean that they have a fear of sex or sexuality. If a "rape" story or fantasy is so disturbing for you then do not associate with them, leave them for those of us that have no qualms of who we really are & what we like & dislike.
