Back in the dark ages, when I was still having sex, I didn't much like to do it standing up, at least not for more than a couple of minutes as part of a variety of positions enjoyed during the session. It's difficult for a woman, especially a heavy woman, to spread her legs and keep her balance while being pummeled from one direction or the other. Usually a wall or a bed or the back of a couch would need to be used for support. Although I must say, I have this large chair with a nicely padded back that's at the exact right height to lean my hips against for a rear approach.

Sex in the shower scares me as there's always the danger of slipping, and to be honest, the heat coupled with the increased activity gets me feeling very faint very fast. So again, a couple of minutes and then I'm heading for the bed. The other problem with standing-up sex is that it's really hard to stay on your feet when you're having an orgasm!

'Swings,' I believe they're called, seem to provide a competent alternative for those intent upon defying gravity (and common sense). At least while incorporating that device, the 'non-swinging' partner isn't required to provide all support.  All the 'swinger' need do is 'hang around', you might say, leaving their partner to concentrate on important issues at hand... mouth... and any other extremities that come into play.

Yes, for my money, if one insists on doing the 'Vertical Mambo', I'd recommend using a swing, to at least make it reasonably comfortable (for one - or more!).

I like to stand when I'm having sex. It gives me a firmer purchase, a stronger thrust and a better view. A good orgasm tends to bend me like a bow being pulled taut. That's easier to achieve if I'm standing. It's not normally feasible for my partner to be standing as well. Nor does it offer the best position.

Sex usually takes longer than the both of us can stay balanced and upright.  So, if she's standing, she's bent over something.  A sofa, the bonnet of a car (hood to you folks who speak American) a sink, or a desk have all played their part.

When she prefers something with a little more comfort, chairs and beds come into play. I love it when she kneels on a hard-backed chair, her breasts hanging over the back, her arse sticking up, where I can circle her and tease her, especially if she's blindfolded, before I enter her.
