Is bling a turn-on?

Do men and women notice, or are they attracted to jewelry? For example, the anklet, or ankle chain... Do these worn on a shapely ankle attract the interest of men? They do for me, ever since I was a young man. I find them irresistible, probably the most sexual piece of feminine jewelry. However, they must be worn properly, never over or under stockings but on a shapely suntanned bare ankle, preferably with high heels, pumps or sandals. Also they look best when a plain gold or silver chain, never with charms of other thing dangling from them.

Here's what odd.  As a man, I don't like a lot of it.  A watch, and on occasion my college class ring is about all I'll wear.

For women -- A nice necklace and a ring or two is fine.

Body piercings are fine as long as their tasteful, a nice navel ring is a HUGE turn on for me.

One of my odder ones is toe rings and other sorts of foot adornment -- ankle chains too are OK, as long as they're not too noisy.

Jewellery/jewelry on women has always been a huge turn-on for me, and it goes back to a young age. As a child I would secretly go through my mother's jewelry and try on her rings etc. As an otherwise relatively normal boy, I felt somewhat bashful about this. But it wasn't that I wanted to be female.  I simply wanted contact with female adornments.

As an adult, I appreciate the look of metal on female skin.  But a woman has to know what's appropriate for her in particular. Shapely, but not chunky, rings on graceful fingers will always get my attention.

I love jewelry, on myself, other women, and men. What matters is if it's flattering for an individual, if it's worn with confidence and  enjoyment, and  what it means to the wearer. I also care about the source - if a person is draped in say, non-certified "blood diamonds" (mined in often miserable conditions and  used to fund warlords & genocide) then the most beautiful piece becomes ugly.

Otherwise, I couldn't care less about whether bling is costly or not - just that it looks good, and  feels that way.

I have long dark hair shot with some silver strands, and  Jewish-Gypsy looks. IMO, darker people with stronger features are usually most suited to wearing more jewelry - we can carry it. 

I've noticed that aside from compliments, men have often started to gently play with my earrings or feel a bracelet when flirting. Though perfectly comfortable scrubbed clean and  simple, in classic Tantric style, I've often left some pieces on (like dangling earrings) for lovemaking, something that's been appreciated, and adds a dimension. 

I've always enjoyed some jewelry on men - as long as it's not that delicate, or one of those awful huge chains in the chest hair, lol. I really like the newer style of small hoops or dangles in both ears that so many younger guys are sporting - very historic. Leather is dead sexy on men... anything strong & well-made. I also love when someone can tell me a story behind a piece they wear.

Anyone flashing bling to show off their money is bor-ing and insecure. But a man who is simply playing up his own beauty, who is aware of his sexiness without strutting too hard... well...that's hotter than New Orleans in July.

I have worn an anklet or ankle chain for over 30 years.  My first was a simple gold chain, a gift from my husband a few days before our wedding when he asked me to wear it on my left ankle and under my wedding day white seamed nylons.  He was a bit of an expert on ankle chains and ensured it was the correct length so that it sat low on my ankle.  Today I have about a dozen, all very fine chains so that they are more subtle than in your face.

He also told me about the secret code of left or right ankle.  He said a chain on the left ankle indicated that the wearer was interested in a sexual liaison and had her husband's permission.  The right ankle meant exclusively married. 

My husband is not keen on baubles hanging from my anklets but one chain has a 'tail' that hangs a few inches below the chain.  He also insists that I wear them under my hosiery, never on the outside.

I've always liked jewelry but not overdone. The older I get the less I like. I wear a gold anklet bracelet. In the summer I'll add a toe ring. I do have pierced ears I've had them since I was a kid so I usually forget them. And then I wear a small pair of hoops. I will wear more if I'm going out on a special occasion maybe a necklace or bracelet. I like things simple. To show off with jewelry sometimes has the feeling that your showing off with your 'bling' or you aren't sure about yourself.

I did get crazy when younger and had a nipple ring and a ring through the hood of my clit, but no one saw them unless I wanted them to. I eventually took them out. I do have 1 tattoo on my shoulder that I got when I turned 50. Everyone needs to do something special for themselves on these birthdays.  It's a ankh, which stands for life. It's a small size.

I don't like a man with a lot of jewelry either. A watch, maybe a tasteful necklace or bracelet. I am more than the jewelry or clothes I wear. Even my clothes are simple but tasteful. I'd love to wear some of the things the young women wear today but I'd look like a woman trying to stay younger and I am not. It's amazing how ideas and priority changes as you age. I can and have still turned heads and it's not because of my bling.

Jewelry has never been a turn-on to me, with the exception of a simple necklace when that is the only thing worn.  A nice little piece of gold between my lover's breasts is a huge turn-on, and if it ends up draped across a nipple when she moves so much the better.  Big fancy stuff always seems like it is supposed to be drawing attention away from the more important parts. 

The most sensitive erogenous zone is located between the ears.  To me the most erotic thing of all is to see a healthy body enticing me to do something special for it.  And when that happens, 'don't need no metal gettin' in the way'.

A turn off?  Anything that is permanent.
