Better Sex Fiction Contest #5

BetterSex.com is dedicated to supporting great amateur erotic fiction. We've paid over $15,000 (so far) in prize money to almost a hundred writers from countries around the world. The first Better Sex Erotic Fiction contest was held in 2005. In 2007 we published our first book featuring 19 authors from our 3rd Erotic Fiction Contest under our Better Sex Press label. We are working on the book from our 4th contest now.

The Better Sex Erotic Fiction contest is not a profitable venture for BetterSex.com. Profits from products created from our contests are paid back to authors in prize money and licensing fees. We create and run our yearly contest because BetterSex.com believes in giving back. Every year we write a big check to DKT International to help create and promote sex education, family planning and aids prevention around the globe. We know our obligations don't end there. We created the Better Sex Erotic Fiction Contest as a fun thing for us, our community and authors. It continues for just those reasons.

5th Better Sex Erotic Fiction Contest

We've always wanted to end one of our yearly contests on Valentines Day. Our 2009 Better Sex Erotic Fiction contest begins on Monday November 3rd and the Grand Prize will be awarded on Sunday February 14th. The 2009 contest spans 13 weeks. Each week will feature 3 stories for community voting. The story with the most votes becomes a Weekly Winner and moves into the semifinals held in a community vote from February 1st to the 9th. The Three Weekly Winners with the most votes in the semifinals will move to a 3 judge panel to award the Grand Prize.

Submission Deadline = November 1st

We are managing this contest differently than previous contests. We have 39 publication slots (3 stories X 13 weeks). Stories to be considered for the fifth Better Sex Erotic Fiction Contest must be received by no later than midnight Saturday November 1st. The first week of stories will appear for community voting on Monday November 3rd and a complete schedule will be published on Monday November 10th.
