Review by Eve Feral   Perhaps I should say first of all that masturbation for me is not about just "getting off" quickly. I have been greatly influenced by Betty Dodson and her marvelous book, "Sex for One." Therefore masturbation usually involves planning a date with myself and taking time to really enjoy every moment of what I'm doing. I highly recommend this book by the way, not only for the advice and encouragement it offers to see masturbation as an act of self-love, but also for the erotically-charged drawings. Dodson is a trained and talented fine artist in addition to her more well-known role as "sexologist." I suppose I developed the masturbatory side of my sexuality when I divorced but find now that it is something which is incorporated into partner sex and always will be. Masturbation will never again be something I feel ashamed of or sneak and do. I've become downright evangelistic on the topic of self-love by the way, as a number of my friends will attest.
