Sensual Romance Looking for sensual romance?
When a rugged, uncouth, almost impossibly manly Viking warrior from ten centuries earlier magically appears in the living room of a beautiful, bewildered Medieval historian, you can just imagine the passion and hilarity that ensue—especially considering that the storyteller is the incomparable New York Times bestseller Sandra Hill! The undisputed Queen of Viking romance, Hill is at her sexy and hysterical best with The Last Viking—further proof that she, “always delivers smart, sexy, laugh-out-loud action” (Christine Feehan). Book Description: He wore nothing but a leather tunic, spoke in an ancient tongue . . . and he was standing in Professor Meredith Foster's living room. The medieval historian told herself he was part of a practical joke, but with his wide gold belt, callused hands, and the rabbit roasting in her fireplace, the brawny stranger seemed so . . . authentic. Suddenly Meredith was mesmerized by his bronzed, muscular form, and her body surrendered to the fantasy that Geirolf Ericsson really was a Viking from a thousand years ago, sent only to pleasure her. But as she tried to teach him to eat spaghetti and use a computer, she realized he knew an awful lot about the tenth century—and so little about this one. And as he helped her fulfill her grandfather's dream of re-creating a Viking ship, he awakened her to dreams of her own. Until she wondered if the hand of fate had thrust her into the loving arms of . . . The Last Viking
Inspired by the tale of Cinderella, Lila DiPasqua weaves a steamy historical romance that offers a glass slipper, a dangerous deception, and an impoverished beauty determined to find her handsome prince...and make him pay. Born into wealth, Sabine Laurent and her twin sister lived a life of luxury, their father's prestigious theater frequented by royalty and aristocracy alike. And Sabine dreamed of her own prince charming—the devastatingly handsome Jules de Moutier. That was before the loss of her sister and her family's fall from grace—a disaster Sabine blames on the Moutier family. Now, with her father's death, she's inherited his sizable debt and the responsibility of caring for his spoiled long-time mistress and her two wastrel daughters. But with the help of Sabine's eccentric friends—the balance of her father's acting troupe--she plans to get very close to her old infatuation, seduce the rake—and make away with a fortune. Resisting Jules's skillful mouth and tantalizing touch is not as easy as Sabine supposed. And soon she must decide whether her desire for vengeance is greater than her desire for her one and only prince. "DiPasqua's latest Fiery Tale is not your typical Cinderella story. This fresh and sexy retelling of the classic fairy tale features a spirited heroine, a dangerous "dark prince," sizzling passion and plenty of intrigue!" —RT Book Reviews
Megan Flynn thought she was falling in love. Cole Williams wasn't just handsome and passionate, he was one of the good guys. Or so she thought, until he arrested her brother - the only family she has left - for a murder she knows he couldn't have possibly committed. Now, with her heart broken and her brother's life hanging in the balance, Megan will risk everything to prove his innocence. Even if that means throwing herself into the path of a sadistic killer with a hauntingly familiar MO.
"The romance between Megan and Cole is unbelievably hot. The chemistry between them burns white hot as they struggle to get past the hurt and pain they left each other with. It’s a major part of the storyline and complements the main arc beautifully. Their physical scenes leave nothing to the imagination yet never cross the line of reality. It was very easy to get caught up in the emotional currents of these two star crossed lovers as try to reconnect for a second chance. " —Tori, SmexyBooks.com
After Prince Augustus Frederick reneges on his promise to marry her, Linnet Thrynne faces social ruin since everyone—based partly on her mother’s scandalous past and partly on Linnet’s ill-fated decision to wear a ball gown that gives the impression she is pregnant—now believes Linnet is a hussy of the first degree. Fortunately, Linnet’s aunt, Lady Etheridge, comes up with a solution. Rumor has it that Piers Yelverton, Earl of Marchant, is in the market for a wife. The irascible nobleman’s only requirement is that his bride-to-be be a woman “more beautiful than the sun and the moon,” a condition Linnet easily meets. Linnet is certain once the beastly Piers meets her, he will fall under her spell. But immediately after encountering the cranky doctor, Linnet realizes the intractable, intelligent, and altogether intriguing Piers is not exactly the husband for whom she bargained. With equal measures of superbly nuanced characters, sexy passion, and scintillating wit, James deftly fashions a fairy-tale-perfect romance. —John Charles, Booklist
For years, he's been an object of fear, fascination . . . and fantasy. But of all the wicked rumors that shadow the formidable Alexander Moncrieffe, Duke of Falconbridge, the ton knows one thing for certain: only fools dare cross him. And when Ian Eversea does just that, Moncrieffe knows the perfect revenge: he'll seduce Ian's innocent sister, Genevieve—the only Eversea as yet untouched by scandal. First he'll capture her heart . . . and then he'll break it. But everything about Genevieve is unexpected: the passion simmering beneath her cool control, the sharp wit tempered by gentleness . . . And though Genevieve has heard the whispers about the duke's dark past, and knows she trifles with him at her peril, one incendiary kiss tempts her deeper into a world of extraordinary sensuality. Until Genevieve is faced with a fateful choice . . . is there anything she won't do for a duke? "For the second month in the row, I completely fell head over heels in love with a hero. And the ending...sigh...I can't tell you the number of times I've reread it.
Review by Lisabet Sarai: International super-model Vashti always presents a perfect appearance: not a hair out of place, artful make-up, elegant clothing and a gracious smile on her lovely lips. Beneath the immaculate surface, though, Vashti bears many scars - physical scars from the auto accident that killed her ambitious, controlling mother and emotional scars from her years of fighting to stay at the top of her profession. No one really knows Vashti. Since the accident, she has barely managed to stay sane, fighting her fears, her guilt and her loneliness. Dark, handsome and intense, sculptor Zoltan is the wunderkind of the art world. When he happens on a candid photo of Vashti, he recognizes the complex and haunted individual hiding beneath the perfect mask, and wants to capture her in his art. Vashti agrees to pose for him, never expecting to be confronted by someone who sees and understands her pain. Their sudden, incandescent sexual attraction is balanced by a deep emotional connection. For the first time, Vashti believes that someone loves her for herself, rather than for the image she has created. Zoltan finds himself increasingly obsessed with Vashti. In a moment of blindness, fearing his art will suffer from a serious attachment, he sends her away. He immediately regrets his action, but it is too late. Vashti has vanished from his life as suddenly as she entered. Only when he unveils his masterpiece, based on their sessions, does he get the chance to show her how he truly feels. UNBROKEN is a deft, emotionally-involving erotic romance novella with well-rounded, appealing characters. Ms. Connolly succeeds admirably in capturing Zoltan's artistic egotism as well as Vashti's combination of fragility and strength. The sex is intense and believable. I particularly liked the fact that, unlike some romance authors who serve up instant love, Ms. Connolly gives Zoltan and Vashti a month together, a realistic period for their relationship to develop. The dramatic climax of the tale, in which Vashti appears at Zoltan's opening in the Guggenheim, is particularly well done. For the first time, we actually see Vashti as she presents herself to the world, and she is formidable. The helical ramp spiraling up to Zoltan's masterpiece could be a metaphor for the process lovers undergo, revealing themselves to one another. At the summit, Vashti understands at last that Zoltan truly knows her as no one else ever has, and that he loves both the surface and the imperfections she conceals underneath.
