The something turned out to be quite romantic, which surprised me, not being a terribly romantic person. Many years of feminism and social justice politics made me suspicious of what I thought of as fiction designed to oppress women with unrealistic fantasies. Then I started to read lots of romance and then erotic romance.

Boy, is it fun! And if it’s fun, I think it must be good for you. Well, it’s good for me anyway.

I also write non romantic erotica which satisfies another part of myself where not everything ends happily.
