Two

Randy Spears has directed a half dozen or so movies for Wicked Pictures since he signed with them as a contract performer, and while I've always admired him as an actor (in fact, he's one of porn's best ever), I must admit that his directorial efforts have always left me with a "ho hum" feeling. With that said, Two is easily his strongest movie to date. It's not quite the knockout movie it might have been, but it's definitely a step in the right direction.

Of course, Randy's biggest asset here is his extremely talented leading lady, Stormy Daniels. She plays the "dual" role of Tess and Linda—one a sweet and innocent girl, the other a sadistic serial killer. Are they sisters or one woman with multiple personalities? The viewer won't discover until the final act, although I don't think Director Spears teases the audience enough with the idea (it's pretty obvious from the beginning).

And that's perhaps the biggest problem I had with Two—the fact the movie ends where it should really begin. Most viewers are going to be way ahead of the characters in the film, so instead of a shocking ending, we get one that merely confirms our suspicions.

Regardless, Two gives Stormy the opportunity to play both ends of the spectrum, and she's quite good at both. "Evil" Linda, as you probably already guessed, is far more fun and compelling to watch than "good" Tess, and Spears makes a smart move by having two of Stormy's three sex scenes involve Linda, and only one of them involve Tess. After all, aren't the bad girls much more fun to watch?

Randy casts himself in Two as a police detective trying to track down Linda for the brutal murders she has committed. He doesn't have a ton of screen time (in fact he doesn't show up until about half-way through the movie), but we do get to see him in one sexual pairing with dark-haired India Summer, who is playing the detective's wife/girlfriend (I wasn't sure which). Other sex scenes include a strip club performance where Carly Parker and Marco Banderas team up on stage in the movie's only scene that contains anal penetration (in the reverse cowgirl position).

Spears has also brought in a few of his ol' porn pals for non-sex roles. Veronica Hart has a cameo as the owner of a bookstore where Tess works; and Frank Bukkwyd plays a psychiatrist who has had Linda as a patient in the past and who suspects her of the murders.

Two is presented in widescreen anamorphic, and looks good, although it was just a tad grainier than I would have expected for a film shot with HD cameras. Audio is excellent and presented in 5.1 Dolby. As for the bonus materials, we get a (anamorphic) behind the scenes featurette; a look at the box cover shoot; a bonus scene between Stormy and Voodoo taken from the release of Bound; a movie slide show; plus a nice selection of trailers, including one for this movie and pre-loaded ones for Kissing Girls and Cockstar.

Two is one of those movies that are great for guys to use to introduce their gals to the porn world. The plot is something right out of a Lifetime movie, all the sex scenes are boy/girl (no lesbian action here), and even most of the pop-shots are conservative (the "kinkiest" is a facial that Carly gets). This one probably won't be remembered as one of Stormy's best movies, but it's one of the more interesting acting challenges she's had to date, and for that reason, this title is worth a viewing...or Two!
