When Spanked arrived I was thrilled. The cover image and title alone tickled my fancy and I couldn’t wait to delve into the twenty fetish stories brought together by Rachel Kramer Bussel.

I am quite happy to admit that spanking is something that gets me hot and not just my butt cheeks either. I can happily be the spanker or spankee and I was thrilled to find stories from both perspectives held within this one volume.

The very first story is unusual as it is written for ‘you’ which is something that is very hard to pull off, most authors and readers alike will admit a dislike for this kind of 2nd person writing. However I was amazed by its use in "Spanking You" by Rick Roberts. It really did set the tone for the whole volume and placed me well and truly between its pages.

It is difficult to pick out favourites and highlights from this book, as it is jam packed with bottom-tingling good erotica. I will put my own personal recommendation in for Madeline Glass and her story "Laser tag." It pushes a lot of my buttons for its use of sexy language and its fast pace.

That is another reason to praise this anthology. It has a beautiful mix of slow, sensual spanks and hard, erotic quick-paced spanking sessions that will (quite literally) take your breath away.

 "Betty Crocker gone mad" by Alison Tyler is a story of the slow and sensual kind, the heat starts of at simmering point and slowly rises to a bubbling boiling climax. "Riding the Storm" by Thomas Christopher does not tease you. It jumps right in and plunges you into the very heart of the plot. It is intensely hot. 

Variety is the spice of life and you certainly find it within these pages. There are so many different scenarios that you are sure to find plenty to your tastes no matter if you’re a serious spanker or merely curious about this particular fetish. It fits the bill whether you are dominant or submissive and I am sure that it is a book that I will go back to time and time again.
