When you pit knowledge against emotions, there's the no-man's land in between those two opposing forces where taboos lie. Incest is one of the untouchables, a taboo that even in alternative cultures is often still looked on negatively. But how can something that feels so right be wrong?

In "Fraternal Devotion" we want to see M/M short stories (10,000-20,000 words) that feature brothers, twins, or triplets. Step-brothers and adoptive brothers need not apply; blood relatives are the only characters we're seeking for this anthology. That said, it is perfectly okay if the siblings were raised separately and only united later in life. We are excited about reading any kind of steamy situation involving siblings that authors can cook up.

We would love to see stories about the dichotomy of something that feels good versus what your character has been told is bad, so conflict and angst are going to be par for the course. But by the end, there should be acceptance of the relationship (by the *characters*, not necessarily by anyone around them), whether or not they'll ever be allowed to be open about their relationship. Genres other than contemporary are acceptable, but adequate world-building (particularly regarding the societal view of incest) is a must for anything other than modern or historical tales. HEA/HFN required.

People often say that the true perfection in the human form is in its imperfections. Scars are visceral reminders of a person's past, a sign of an event that can never fade. Whether it was gained in combat, a traumatic experience, or part of a ritual with a lover, scars are the ultimate labels. In Storm Moon Press' "Carved in Flesh" anthology, we're looking for M/M short stories (10,000-20,000 words) in which at least one character sports physical scars. These scars can be injury/trauma scars or decorative scars, but they must be noticeable: visible to the naked eye, and prominent enough to spark a conversation. Emotional scarring doesn't count. That's cheating.

The scars must also be the erotic focal point of the story. We want red-hot scenes between men, be it a contemporary sub's first scarification session or the survivor of an intergalactic war enjoying some scar-worship after his homecoming. Are your character's scars a mark of possession? Shame? A part of their life they would rather forget? An HEA or HFN ending is required. No leaving your scarred character battered and broken, please. Whatever they have been through, we want to see them have at least a little respite with a partner who adores their scars.

There's nothing hotter than a man with tattoos. He might get them to commemorate a lost loved one, celebrate an event, or just to look bad-ass, but there's no doubt the man enjoys showing off his ink. At least, that's what some characters in the "Written in Flesh" anthology will think. When confronted with a tattooed man, these guys just won't be able to resist. Tribal, classic black and white, or elaborate colored artwork spanning the entire back, each mark has a story, and we're looking for you to relate those stories with an erotic flare.

The genres for this anthology are completely open. We will accept submissions (10,000-20,000 words) about the incubus who tattoos himself for each lover instead of making notches on his bedpost, the pirate sporting tattoos that mark him as infamous, or even the bold man who lets his tattoo artist lover mark the length of his cock. So long as the tattoos are at the center of the character's sexual attention and everyone ends on a positive, HEA/HFN note, feel free to have fun with your story! Show us those Chinese dragons, skulls, and tribal barbed wire!
