Quentin Tarantino’s World War II drama Inglourious Basterds is the inspiration behind European director Max Candy’s new pseudo-historical stroker Inglorious Bitches. Budgeted at over $300,000, the Marc Dorcel production stars Tarra White and Anna Polina as vengeance seeking Nazi Germany dissenters who wrangle up an army of whores to carry out an assassination plot against top military officials. White, channeling Brad Pitt’s Aldo Raine, rallies her scantily-clad, top-heavy troops with harsh truths and the promise of a better life. “Before this war, you were nothing but street whores, useless bitches,” she barks. “Sooner or later, you’d be found dead and gutted on the very streets that you worked. We brought you here to give you the opportunity of your life.” Of course, White knows that the mission is suicide. The entire plan hinges on the girls keeping the Nazi officers distracted during a massive orgy, while White’s hired pilot drops a bomb on their headquarters. But, White and Polina are determined to sacrifice both their lives and that of their crew to avenge the death of an old lover and caregiver, who was murdered just minutes after their threesome by Nazi scum. Inglorious Bitches has a lot going for it: exotic sets and locations (bunkers, cottages, mansions), mind-blowing props (tank, jeeps, guns, a flame-thrower), authentic wardrobe and makeup, and, of course, beautiful women and hardcore sex. But what makes the film especially enjoyable is that, unlike most American porn parodies, it’s not a mindless, pornified scene-for-scene take of its source material. There’s a lot of creativity and humor in Inglorious Bitches—possibly enough to justify keeping it next to your copy of Inglourious Basterds and not in the closet, hidden underneath your gym shorts. —Nelson X, XBIZ Review Inglorious Bitches is available at:
Despite its generic title, “Love Is a … Dangerous Game” is one of those extremely rare, intelligent adult features that rewards viewers for wanting something more than a gaping anus in their entertainment. Directed by Eddie Powell from a script by Jacky St. James, the story follows children’s book author Paulina Connelly’s (Natasha Nice) unexpected, and potentially dangerous, romance with mysterious horror novelist — and former madhouse resident — Wes Mueller (Richie). Technically, the film is beautifully shot — on par with any mainstream thriller. But, what makes it especially engaging, along with St. James’ deft script, is Powell’s ability to create and juggle romance, humor, and suspense — something not easily pulled off in most adult features. It also helps that the film’s leads are charismatic and talented. Natasha Nice, the petite and pretty, top-heavy star of many gonzo productions, proves that she’s leading lady material with a performance that is subtle and natural and funny. But, it’s Richie who gets to chew up the scenery with his silent, but manic, portrayal of Wes Mueller. A brilliant and fun surprise, “Love Is a … Dangerous Game” is what all adult features should be. 2011 AVN Award Winner for Best Screenplay Jesse is a fighter who is kidnapped and taken to an abandoned building where she is indoctrinated into a group of female vigilantes who exact a brutal justice on men who commit crimes against women and get away with it. Jesse is reluctant to join them, but eventually she sees the wisdom in their ways...until the day their next victim is Jesse's last love. And then Jesse must make the ultimate choice...between love and lust, and crime and punishment. B. Skow has created a masterwork that has been labeled a "modern classic." With no less than 11 sex scenes, and two of the hottest Vivid girls to ever grace an adult camera. If you see only one movie this year, make it The Condemned, B. Skow's redefining of the Vivid Big Event " An epic adult movie with a social and political conscience, B. Skow's The Condemned traces a secret society where women fighters enact vigilante revenge on rapists, murderers and all sorts of scummy criminals who attack women. With incredible sex, career-topping acting performances, production values that rival mainstream Hollywood, and realistic violence that punctuates the textured and compelling storyline, not only is this one of the best adult titles of 2010, but it's a modern classic that should stand the test of time." —Paul Fishbein, AVN (Adult Video News) The Condemned is available at:
In what is perhaps the most dramatic acting turn of the year, rising star Jessie Andrews plays a 21-year-old call girl who is troubled by her past and searches for meaning through a series of remarkable sexual experiences. A relative newcomer to porn’s big stage, Andrews gives a fearless performance as the call girl Elle, letting go in her sex scenes with an intensity that belies her age. Her willingness to test her sexual limits builds momentum as the movie goes on, culminating with a six-man blowbang in a warehouse that leaves her writhing on the floor covered in cum — an instant classic. Andrews goes to extremes sexually in this breakout role, and at the same time she succeeds in conveying a youthful vulnerability during introspective moments with her therapist. “All I know is I’m on this train and it’s gone off the rails and it’s dangerous and scary but I’ve never felt so alive and I don’t want to look back,” Elle tells her at one point. There have been other showcase movies that feature the same starlet in every scene, but nothing quite this. We watch as Andrews lets go of her inhibitions during various adventurers that vary in their degree of depravity. Her epic tryst with super stud Manuel Ferrara builds into a battle of wills that leaves them both breathless and drenched in sweat. She later she takes on Mick Blue and Ramon Nomar in an aggressive balling that also explodes with energy and passion. “Portrait,” which was written and directed by Graham Travis, achieves exceptional levels with its smart script, gorgeous cinematography and moody musical score. And Travis adds layers of depth with compelling exterior shots and timely close-ups, utilizing locations that are both beautiful and gritty. But “Portrait” ultimately hits so hard because of Andrews, who displays major star qualities in the gutsiest performance of her career. —Dan Miller, XBIZ Editors Choice Portrait Of A Call Girl is available at:
